Our Iron Filbert Vineyard is set on a steep southern slope of volcanic soil enhanced with basalt boulders in the heart of the Dundee Hills. The 2021 Willamette Valley Auction Pinot Noir is sourced predominantly from our lower, riper blocks of the estate. We fermented in stainless vessels for an average of 16 days on skins. 10% of the final blend is a whole cluster ferment from the upper Pommard blocks. Once dry, we barreled down to predominantly neutral barrels, with only 5% new French Oak. The wine aged on lees for 11 months in a barrel, topped weekly.
